MADARA NATURAL AND ORGANIC SKIN CARE FOR BABY AND KIDS

A little while ago I wrote about two of my favourite MÁDARA skin care products. Mádara Cosmetics is a natural skin care brand from Latvia that uses natural ingredients based on (Latvian) plant extracts. They offer a wide range of high-quality products and only use ingredients that are safe and certified.

Today I’m sharing my experience with their natural and organic BABY & KIDS skin care line. Spoiler alert: these products made me an even bigger fan of Mádara!

The Baby & Kids line consists of four caring products that are all vegan and ‘ecocert’ certified. Here’s what they do and what I personally like about it:

• Cocoa & Plum Creamy Oil that protects, nourishes and reduces dryness and flaking. This product is a combination between an oil and a cream, ideal for a baby massage after bath time. I love the oily texture that spreads easy and melts even more into the skin when the skin is warm. Little warning: it can leave greasy stains on clothing.

• Oat & Linden Flower Shampoo with moisturizing and anti-allergic cleansing properties. This mild baby shampoo is one of the best I’ve tried so far. It doesn’t sting in the eyes, you only need a teeny tiny bit and it directly becomes a heavenly airy foam while lathering. I also like the subtle sweet plum smell. It makes my baby’s hair super soft.

• Protective Baby Cream with sunflower oil, plum oil and flax seed. This cream nourishes and protects the delicate baby skin in sunny, windy or cold weather conditions. I use this cream mainly as a baby face cream. I like the rich creamy texture, it leaves my baby’s cheeks super soft. But, as far as I’m concerned, the smell could have been a bit more subtle. It’s not bad, but it reminds me a bit of the smell of marzipan.

• Oat & Camomile Gentle Wash with soothing and calming camomile, suitable for baby’s delicate skin from the first day of life. This gel wash turns into a soft foam that can be used to cleanse face, hands and body. I like to use this wash for my baby’s face (but be sure to avoid contact with eyes!) and hands. Tip: when you’re out of baby bath oil you can also use this gentle wash and add it to the bathwater.

Psst… Little secret: every now and then I also use the ‘Protective Baby Cream’ and ‘Oat & Camomile Gentle Wash’ myself ;). Don’t tell minime!

Al eerder schreef ik over twee van mijn favoriete MÁDARA huidverzorgingsproducten. Mádara Cosmetics is een natuurlijk huidverzorgingsmerk uit Letland dat natuurlijke ingrediënten gebruikt en waarvan de producten zijn gebaseerd op (Letlandse) plantenextracten. Ze hebben een uitgebreide productlijn van hoogwaardige kwaliteit en gebruiken enkel veilige en gecertificeerde ingrediënten.

Vandaag deel ik mijn ervaringen met hun natuurlijke en organische BABY & KIDS huidverzorgingslijn. Spoiler alert: deze producten hebben ervoor gezorgd dat ik een nóg grotere Mádara fan ben geworden!

De Baby & Kids lijn bestaat uit vier heerlijk verzorgende producten die ook nog eens veganistisch en ‘ecocert’ gecertifieerd zijn. Dit is wat ze doen en wat ik er persoonlijk zo fijn aan vind:

• Cocoa & Plum Creamy Oil beschermt, verzorgt en vermindert droogheid en schilferen. Dit product is een combinatie tussen een olie en een crème, ideaal voor een fijne babymassage na het badje. De olieachtige textuur smeert fijn uit en smelt op de huid wanneer hij warm is. Kleine waarschuwing: laat het niet op je kleding komen (of die van de baby) want het kan vetvlekken achterlaten.

• Oat & Linden Flower Shampoo met vochtinbrengende, anti-allergische en reinigende eigenschappen. Dit is de beste baby shampoo die ik tot nu toe geprobeerd heb. Het prikt niet in de oogjes, je hebt maar een heel klein beetje nodig en het verandert in een heerlijk luchtig schuim wanneer je het in het haar masseert. Het maakt de haartjes super zacht, en wat ik er ook lekker aan vind is de subtiele zoete geur van pruimen.

• Protective Baby Cream met zonnebloemolie, pruimenolie en lijnzaad. Deze creme voedt en beschermt de kwetsbare babyhuid in alle weersomstandigheden; zon, wind en kou. Ik gebruik hem zelf voornamelijk als een baby gezichtscrème. De rijke textuur vind ik heerlijk en het maakt de wangetjes van mijn baby super zacht! Wat mij betreft zou de geur alleen wat subtieler mogen zijn. Het doet me nu een beetje denken aan de geur van marsepein.

• Oat & Camomile Gentle Wash met verzachtende en kalmerende kamille, geschikt voor het baby huidje vanaf de allereerste dag. Met een beetje water verandert deze wasgel in een zacht schuim dat gebruikt kan worden voor het gezicht, handen en lichaam. Ik gebruik hem het liefst voor het gezichtje (wel even uitkijken dat het niet in de oogjes komt!) en de handjes. Tip: als je geen baby badolie of badschuim meer in huis hebt dan kun je deze wasgel ook heel goed gebruiken.

Psst… Klein geheimpje: zo nu en dan gebruik ik de ‘Protective Baby Cream’ en ‘Oat & Camomile Gentle Wash’ ook voor mijzelf ;). Niet aan ‘minime’ vertellen hoor!
